Fixed Assets Assistant

About the role

Confluent Medical Technologies is seeking a Fixed Assets Assistant to join its finance team in Costa Rica. The role supports the accounting function by maintaining accurate fixed‑asset records, handling depreciation, and ensuring compliance with internal policies and accounting standards.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and update the fixed‑asset register in the ERP system.
• Record acquisitions, transfers, disposals, retirements and adjustments.
• Calculate monthly depreciation and amortization schedules.
• Reconcile the fixed‑asset subledger to the general ledger and investigate discrepancies.
• Assist with month‑end and year‑end close activities related to fixed assets.
• Review CapEx documentation for proper classification and capitalization.
• Track construction‑in‑progress projects and support their capitalization upon completion.
• Coordinate periodic physical inventories of fixed assets.
• Prepare documentation for internal and external audits.
• Support process‑improvement initiatives and collaborate with procurement, operations and other departments.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience; fixed‑assets experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of fixed‑asset accounting principles and relevant regulations.
• Intermediate English proficiency (B1/B2 level).

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, formulas and data analysis.
