Finance Operations Senior Analyst

About the role

The Deloitte Greenhouse team is looking for a detail‑oriented Finance Operations Senior Analyst to support core finance, reporting, and operational activities. You will ensure financial transactions, reconciliations, approvals, master data, and close processes are accurate, timely, and compliant with established standards.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with accounting, controllership, and offshore teams to manage month‑end close activities, including preparation, validation, submission, and tracking of journal entries.
• Maintain close documentation, provide status updates on open items, dependencies, and escalations.
• Investigate and resolve data discrepancies, unsupported balances, and process exceptions within close timelines.
• Manage vendor activities such as invoice processing and vendor change requests, escalating issues when necessary.
• Follow and update SOPs, recommending practical process improvements and automation opportunities.
• Serve as a subject‑matter expert for assigned finance and operational processes, responding to ad‑hoc requests and ensuring data integrity and compliance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in accounting operations, finance operations, controllership, or accounts payable.
• Practical knowledge of month‑end close activities, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy, consistency, and quality.
• Ability to follow established processes precisely while recognizing and escalating exceptions.
• Effective communication skills with accounting professionals, operational teams, vendors, and senior leaders.
• Self‑starter capable of working independently in ambiguous environments.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel, including manipulation of large data sets.
