Manager, License Compliance

About the role

The Manager, License Compliance leads Autodesk’s effort to protect its intellectual property by ensuring customers operate within licensing agreements. This role combines strategic planning, audit execution, customer engagement, and cross‑functional coordination to drive compliance and support revenue growth.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee telemetry analysis, audit preparation, and resolution workflows while ensuring timely, accurate handling of compliance cases across all customer segments.
• Lead communications with customers from operational contacts to executive stakeholders, delivering complex findings, negotiating resolutions, and tailoring messaging to licensing complexity.
• Coach and develop compliance teams globally, building onboarding, training, and succession plans and fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
• Allocate resources based on strategic priorities, manage staffing plans, coordinate cross‑functional support, and ensure readiness for high‑value engagements and escalations.
• Own compliance‑driven revenue forecasting, integrate forecasts into go‑to‑market and financial planning, and identify risks and opportunities to inform strategic decisions.

Required profile

• Demonstrated ability to foster collaboration, assign tasks strategically, motivate teams, and build scalable, future‑ready structures.
• Strong communication skills with a track record of delivering strategic messages, crafting compelling narratives, and leading complex discussions to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.
• Deep knowledge of licensing models, audit methodologies, and the ability to align compliance actions with sales and customer‑success motions.
• Proficiency in using telemetry and audit data to anticipate challenges, mitigate revenue risks, and interpret financial data for strategic resource allocation.
• Experience partnering with account executives, customer success managers, legal, marketing, and operations to embed compliance into broader go‑to‑market initiatives.
