Deputy Operations Manager – Central America

About the role

Intrepid Travel is looking for a Deputy Operations Manager to support daily operations across the Central America region. You will work from our San Jose office in a hybrid setting, helping to create safe, responsible, and memorable travel experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in managing recruitment, training, and performance of tour leaders.
• Monitor and implement Intrepid’s safety standards, code of conduct, and responsible travel policies.
• Collaborate with Reservations, Product, Contracting, Sales, Customer Care and Global Operations to drive profitability and customer satisfaction.
• Support various administrative tasks for the Operations team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Tourism.
• At least 1 year of management coaching or training experience.
• Minimum 2 years of experience with administrative tasks using Microsoft 365.
• Excellent verbal and written communication in English and Spanish.
• Strong organizational, problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities.
