About the role
Four Seasons Resort Peninsula Papagayo is seeking a motivated Cook to join its culinary team. You will work at an assigned station, preparing dishes according to the chef’s recipes and maintaining the highest standards of quality and hygiene.
Key responsibilities
- Set up and maintain your station correctly and on time for each service.
- Prepare all foods following the exact recipes and record-keeping procedures.
- Ensure portion size, quality, and presentation meet Four Seasons standards.
- Deliver dishes to the appropriate service area promptly.
- Notify the chef immediately of any issues or suggestions.
- Assist in other kitchen areas when required and participate in scheduled training.
- Follow strict cleaning policies, keep the workstation tidy, and cover stored products with dated, labeled film.
- Apply FIFO rotation and check equipment after each service.
Required profile
- Current valid food‑handling certification.
- Basic knowledge of good manufacturing practices (GMP) and food safety.
- Ability to follow recipes accurately and work efficiently under pressure.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Flexibility to work in different areas of the kitchen as needed.
