Assistant Director of Engineering – Luxury Resort

About the role

The Assistant Director of Engineering supports the Director of Engineering in ensuring safe, reliable and efficient operation of the resort’s facilities and technical systems. This senior role combines team leadership, maintenance planning, and project oversight to uphold Four Seasons’ high standards of guest service and sustainability.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise the engineering and maintenance team, assigning daily tasks and ensuring compliance with quality, safety and procedural standards.
• Plan, schedule and monitor preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance for all hotel assets, including HVAC, chillers, pumps, electrical, plumbing and pool systems.
• Conduct regular inspections, monitor critical equipment performance, and identify opportunities to improve reliability and efficiency.
• Support budgeting, resource allocation, purchase orders and maintain accurate records of assets, spare parts and contracted services.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or technical degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electromechanical Engineering, Facilities Management or a related field.
• Proven experience in engineering, maintenance or facilities management within hotels, resorts or similarly complex environments.
