About the role

We are seeking a bilingual Tax Accountant to join a client based in Escazú, San José. The position is fully remote and requires strong expertise in tax and accounting matters, as well as the ability to lead a team of accountants.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate monthly accounting operations for the team.
• Ensure compliance with tax and fiscal regulations.
• Review and validate financial statements.
• Address tax authority requests and requirements.
• Lead and coordinate external audit processes.
• Identify and implement improvements in financial and tax processes.

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Active membership in CPI and CPA.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in accounting and tax coordination.
• Up‑to‑date knowledge of Costa Rican tax legislation.
• Experience with due diligence and audit engagements.
• Advanced English proficiency (B2+).
