About the role

As a General Accountant you will manage the full accounting cycle of the company. Your duties include daily recording of transactions, leading the accounting team, performing bank reconciliations, and overseeing accounts receivable and payable. You will also prepare monthly and annual financial statements, provide accounting reports to management, and ensure compliance with tax and regulatory obligations.

Key responsibilities

• Record daily financial operations in the accounting system.
• Lead and supervise the internal accounting team.
• Conduct bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow.
• Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable.
• Prepare monthly and yearly financial statements.
• Generate accounting reports for senior management.
• Ensure timely filing of tax and fiscal declarations.
• Coordinate month‑end and year‑end closing processes.
• Verify correct application of accounting standards.
• Support internal and external audit activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
• Member of the relevant professional accounting body.
• Minimum three years of experience in a similar accounting role.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Availability to work 100% onsite in Escazú.
