About the role
We are seeking a General Accountant to oversee the complete accounting function of the company. The role involves daily transaction recording, leading the accounting team, and ensuring accurate financial reporting while working onsite in Escazú.
Key responsibilities
- Record daily financial operations and maintain the general ledger.
- Lead and supervise the accounting team.
- Perform bank reconciliations and manage accounts receivable and payable.
- Prepare monthly and annual financial statements.
- Generate accounting reports for senior management.
- Ensure compliance with tax and regulatory obligations.
- Coordinate month‑end and year‑end closing processes.
- Review the correct application of accounting standards.
- Support internal and external audit activities.
Required profile
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
- Member of the relevant professional accounting body.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar accounting position.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
- Availability to work 100% onsite in Escazú.
