About the role
We are looking for an enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our Institutional Dining Hall in Coyol, Alajuela. You will support the head chef in daily food preparation, maintain a clean and organized kitchen, and help ensure smooth service delivery.
Key responsibilities
- Assist the head chef with food preparation and cooking.
- Keep the kitchen, utensils, and work areas clean and orderly.
- Perform routine cleaning and maintenance tasks.
- Coordinate with the service team to deliver meals on time.
Required profile
- Completed primary education.
- Valid food‑handling certificate (physical copy).
- At least 1 year of experience in a similar kitchen role, preferably in an institutional setting.
- Availability for rotating shifts, including weekends.
- Ability to work under pressure and as part of a team.
Required skills
- Basic cooking techniques.
- Food safety and handling knowledge.
