Associate Director External Relations

About the role

INCAE Business School seeks an Associate Director of External Relations to serve as a strategic bridge between the institution and its key external communities, including alumni, hiring partners, donors, and multinational organizations. Reporting to the Director of External Relations, you will help shape long‑term relationships and expand partnerships that support the school’s mission.

Key responsibilities

• Lead day‑to‑day relationship management with the global alumni network and design engagement initiatives.
• Cultivate dialogue with hiring partner companies to support student placement, executive education, and corporate collaboration.
• Maintain communication with current and prospective donors, contributing to annual giving and major‑gift campaigns.
• Build and manage institutional partnerships with NGOs, government bodies, and peer academic institutions.
• Coordinate multi‑stakeholder events, summits, missions, and visits both on‑campus and internationally.
• Manage CRM data, stakeholder follow‑up cycles, and reporting on engagement outcomes.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with Career Services, Development, Admissions, Marketing, and the Rector’s Office.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree (MBA, International Relations, Business, Public Affairs, or related) strongly preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in external relations, alumni relations, development, or stakeholder management, preferably in higher education or large regional organizations.
• Fluent in Spanish and English; Portuguese a plus.
• Proven ability to manage multiple international projects across time zones and cultures.
• Willingness to travel within Latin America and internationally.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CRM systems (Salesforce or similar).
• Strong command of Microsoft Office.
