Analyst, Inventory Accounting

About the role

The Analyst, Inventory Accounting supports Baxter's finance function by managing complex inventory accounting tasks across multiple entities. You will work closely with local finance teams, auditors, and global reporting groups to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare manual journal entries with proper documentation.
• Calculate and post reserves such as E&O and NRV for complex entities.
• Perform detailed accounting variance analysis.
• Complete account reconciliations in BlackLine within established deadlines.
• Respond to finance queries from local country teams promptly.
• Provide audit support and assist with regional/global reporting requirements, including balance‑sheet and P&L flux analysis.
• Support month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end close processes.
• Identify and implement continuous process improvement opportunities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field (or 50‑75% of degree completed).
• Minimum 2 years of experience in accounting or inventory accounting, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience working in a multinational organization or audit environment.
• Strong analytical abilities and excellent communication skills.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
• Willingness to travel internationally as needed.

Required skills

• US GAAP knowledge.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Experience using JDE (JD Edwards) ERP system.
• Experience with BlackLine reconciliation software.
