Accounting Manager

About the role

The Accounting Manager will lead the site’s accounting function, ensuring accurate and timely financial close, compliance, and strategic partnership with the business. This senior position reports to the Site Controller and works closely with global finance and IT teams.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a high‑performing accounting team.
• Oversee month‑end and year‑end close, including accruals, reserves, and reconciliations.
• Prepare and present monthly variance analysis and MD&A summaries.
• Coordinate internal and external audits, including free‑trade‑zone and tax audits.
• Implement and maintain strong controls for capital assets, inventory, and intercompany transactions.
• Partner with finance and IT to drive process automation, system improvements, and reporting efficiency (Infor ERP, OneStream, Power BI).
• Support the Controller on FP&A activities such as budgeting and forecasting.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (MBA or Master’s a plus).
• 5–7 years of progressive accounting experience with supervisory responsibility.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP or IFRS, preferably in a manufacturing or medical‑device environment.
• Proven ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and manage multiple priorities.
• High ethical standards, integrity, and confidentiality.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Infor).
• Expert‑level Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with Power BI and OneStream.
• Solid understanding of cost accounting, inventory valuation, and manufacturing variances.
