Accountant (Restaurant & QBO experience)

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented accountant with restaurant and QuickBooks Online experience to join our finance team. You will work remotely as an independent contractor, supporting our hospitality clients with accurate financial reporting and day‑to‑day bookkeeping.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain financial records, categorize expenses, and manage the general ledger daily in QuickBooks Online.
• Reconcile daily POS sales reports with cash deposits, credit‑card payouts, and delivery‑app transactions.
• Process and track vendor invoices, ensuring timely payments and accurate accounts payable.
• Monitor restaurant‑specific metrics such as food & beverage COGS and labor costs.
• Perform monthly bank and credit‑card statement reconciliations and generate basic profit & loss reports for owners/managers.

Required profile

• 1–3 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience in the restaurant/hospitality industry.
• Strong, practical experience using QuickBooks Online.
• Availability to work 9 AM–5 PM EST, Monday to Friday.
• Willingness to work as an independent contractor.
