Accountant – Record to Report (R2R) – Heredia

About the role

DHL Express is hiring an Accountant to join its Heredia, Costa Rica team. You will work as an integral member of the Record to Report (R2R) function, supporting processes across the Americas. The role focuses on high‑quality data delivery and continuous process improvement for our clients.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, review and book accounting entries, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Analyse account balances and perform reconciliations, following up on open items until resolution.
• Process receivable and payable transactions and respond to inquiries from country teams.
• Maintain confidentiality of financial information and manage sensitive data with proper labeling.
• Support audit requests, prepare documentation and liaise with regional SSC and business partners.
• Execute and document internal controls for the accounting process and help avoid CFO letters by resolving imbalances.

Required profile

• Technical degree in Accounting or a related field (or currently pursuing).
• At least 1 year of experience in accounting processes, preferably with fixed assets and duties.
• Strong knowledge of Record to Report (R2R/RTR) processes and the full accounting cycle.
• Proficiency in SAP and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Full professional proficiency in English (minimum B2 level).
