Accountant - International Entities

About the role

Acuity Analytics is looking for a detail-oriented, proactive and team-oriented accountant to support its international entities. The role covers a range of administrator and accounting functions, including month-end close, journal entries, bank and revenue reconciliations and coordination with the U.S. accounting team.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the financial statement close and accounting operations for the international entities.
• Help prepare and reconcile financial statements monthly.
• Prepare and enter month-end journal entries and general ledger account reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly bank reconciliations and monthly revenue entries, including calculating fees for about 20 funds/customers.
• Take part in quarterly reviews and the annual audit process for international entities.
• Make sure international entities follow corporate accounting policies and coordinate with the U.S. accounting team and other subsidiaries so transactions are recorded accurately.
• Other projects and duties as needed.
• Follow the Information Security Policy, identify risks when working with external parties and protect customer information.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred.
• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience; prior public accounting experience (Big 4 or large regional firm) preferred.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting concepts.
• Experience with international entities, statutory reporting and foreign currency translation strongly preferred.
• Attention to detail, ability to prioritise multiple projects and meet deadlines, and good teamwork.

Required skills

• Highly proficient in Excel, Word and other Microsoft Office programs.
• NetSuite general ledger experience is a plus.
