About the role
Toptal is seeking a mid‑level Account Manager to own a portfolio of small‑and‑medium business (SMB) clients. You will act as a trusted advisor, uncover growth opportunities and deliver talent solutions that help clients scale their operations.
Key responsibilities
- Own growth, retention and success of a diverse SMB account portfolio.
- Develop and execute proactive account plans aligned with client business goals.
- Conduct regular insight‑driven check‑ins to gather feedback and identify new challenges.
- Identify and qualify expansion opportunities across marketing, finance and technical functions.
- Execute tailored outreach campaigns using Salesloft cadences to educate clients on Toptal’s services.
- Provide ongoing guidance throughout project lifecycles, ensuring a client‑first experience.
Required profile
- Mid‑level professional with proven relationship‑building and consultative selling experience.
- Strong business acumen and curiosity to diagnose client needs.
- Ability to work independently and coordinate with cross‑functional teams.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
