SOX Auditor – Internal Controls Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a SOX Auditor to support the Global SOX & Internal Controls team in maintaining and enhancing the company’s Internal Control over Financial Reporting (ICFR) program. The role involves collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with Sarbanes‑Oxley requirements and internal policies.

Key responsibilities

• Assist managers and VP in scoping, risk assessment, and control rationalization for SOX compliance.
• Prepare and execute test of design and test of operating effectiveness for controls, including documentation of workpapers and flowcharts.
• Coordinate remediation, retesting, and timely issue closure with control owners.
• Provide information and support to internal and external auditors, ensuring SOX 302/404 certification.
• Conduct walkthroughs, develop risk and control matrices, and maintain up‑to‑date SOX work records.
• Support IPE testing, SOC reviews, and assessment of IT General and Application controls.
• Report testing status, identify roadblocks, and drive remediation plans.
• Participate in ad‑hoc projects related to process improvement, risk, and compliance.

Required profile

• 4‑6+ years of experience in SOX/ICFR auditing or related financial control functions.
• Strong understanding of Sarbanes‑Oxley (302/404) requirements and internal control frameworks.
• Experience working with external auditors and cross‑functional teams.
• Ability to produce clear documentation and workpapers with minimal supervision.
