L2 Network Engineer

About the role

The L2 Network Engineer provides advanced technical support for networking, wireless and cloud‑based environments. You will diagnose connectivity issues, analyze network performance and ensure customers receive timely, effective solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Troubleshoot networking, wireless and cloud‑related problems.
• Analyze TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, DNS, DHCP, ARP and VLAN connectivity issues.
• Support Wi‑Fi environments, addressing coverage, roaming, throughput and performance.
• Use packet capture and log analysis tools to identify root causes.
• Work with REST APIs and remote management protocols to support customer environments.
• Perform issue replication, root‑cause analysis and performance monitoring.
• Document troubleshooting steps, solutions and best practices.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to resolve complex technical issues.
• Provide technical guidance and recommendations to customers.
• Contribute to knowledge‑base articles and process improvements.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2–4 years of experience in technical support, networking or Wi‑Fi troubleshooting.
• Customer‑focused mindset with strong written and verbal communication.
• Ability to work independently and within global teams.

Required skills

• TCP/IP networking fundamentals.
• LAN/WAN technologies, switching, VLAN, NAT, DHCP, DNS, ARP.
• Wi‑Fi and WLAN architectures, 802.11 standards.
• REST APIs, JSON, Postman.
• Packet capture and network analysis (Wireshark or similar).
• Linux command‑line usage.
• Basic SQL for log analysis.
• TR‑069 (CWMP) familiarity.
• CCNA, CompTIA Network+ or equivalent certifications (preferred).
