Information Technology Assistant – G4 Level

About the role

The International Organization for Migration is seeking a motivated Information Technology Assistant (G4) to join its San Jose office. Reporting to the Resource Management Officer and working closely with the ICT Central Team, you will provide first‑level technical support for a wide range of corporate applications and infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the frontline help‑desk for technical support requests, assisting users with computers, applications, telephones, printers, scanners, mobile devices, and PBX systems.
• Provide support for corporate software such as Office365, SAP, Oracle, migrant‑specific applications, internet‑browsing security tools, mobile apps, and Bitlocker encryption.
• Install, configure, and maintain computers, peripherals, and backup systems; manage patching, antimalware, and system monitoring.
• Assist in monitoring and administering LAN/WAN equipment, including Cisco Meraki, Cisco ASA firewalls, switches, Wi‑Fi access points, Microsoft Intune, and PBX telephone systems.
• Ensure all IT components are secure, up‑to‑date, and compliant with organizational policies.

Required profile

• Relevant technical education or equivalent experience in IT support.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and a client‑oriented attitude.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with a multicultural team.
