About the role
Join the Le Pain Quotidien team as an entry‑level Cook, preparing fresh, high‑quality menu items for both dine‑in and to‑go guests. You will work in a fast‑paced, community‑focused bakery‑café environment, ensuring every dish meets the brand’s standards.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and execute all menu items, including seasonal and special dishes, following Le Pain Quotidien ticket standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen by following detailed cleaning checklists, washing dishes, and sanitising equipment.
- Assist the Kitchen Manager with inventory control, using prep sheets to set appropriate par levels.
- Conduct line checks to ensure quality and consistency of food.
- Follow opening, mid‑shift, and closing procedures as directed.
- Complete food safety and cleaning checklists to guarantee proper handling.
Required profile
- 1–3 months of related restaurant experience or formal training.
- Flexibility in scheduling is preferred.
- Willingness to be cross‑trained in all kitchen areas.
- Ability to read and understand the primary language(s) used at the work location.
Required skills
- Knife‑handling proficiency.
- Food safety compliance.
- Operation of standard kitchen equipment.
