DevOps Engineer – Cloud & CI/CD (AWS/EKS)

About the role

Moody's is looking for a DevOps Engineer to design, automate, and operate secure cloud platforms and CI/CD pipelines that enable reliable, scalable delivery of cloud‑native applications. You will work with cutting‑edge AWS services and Kubernetes to support our risk‑assessment solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage Amazon EKS clusters, ensuring networking, scaling, security hardening, and high‑availability.
• Architect and implement serverless solutions using AWS Lambda, API Gateway, EventBridge, and Step Functions.
• Build and maintain Terraform code for multi‑environment infrastructure provisioning.
• Develop CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions and Git‑based workflows, applying GitOps patterns where possible.
• Implement observability, monitoring, logging, and alerting using CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, and the ELK stack.
• Apply security and compliance best practices, including secrets management and risk‑based controls.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• 2+ years of hands‑on experience with Kubernetes/EKS and Terraform.
• Strong knowledge of AWS core and serverless services.
• Experience with CI/CD tools, especially GitHub Actions.
• Proficiency in monitoring and logging tools.
• Basic understanding of AI concepts and interest in responsible AI practices.
