Cost Accountant

About the role

As a Cost Accountant you will directly influence manufacturing performance by ensuring production costs are accurately reflected in financial results and by providing insights that support operational decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze and monitor production costs, delivering insights for effective financial and operational decisions.
• Review financial performance of production orders, compare standard versus actual costs, and identify trends and improvement opportunities.
• Support month‑end close activities, including financial reviews and cost‑related reclassifications to guarantee accurate reporting.
• Partner with Production Managers, plant supervisors, coordinators and manufacturing teams in Costa Rica to maintain precise financial records and align with business objectives.
• Assist with new product cost estimates, evaluate the financial impact of process or product changes, and track cost‑saving and efficiency improvement projects.

Required profile

• 2+ years of experience in Cost Accounting within a manufacturing or production environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related field.
• Intermediate proficiency in written and spoken English.
• Collaborative professional able to partner effectively with cross‑functional Finance and Manufacturing teams.
