Clerk, GBS Accounting

About the role

The Clerk in Global Business Services Accounting supports the Accounts Payable function, general accounting, and related administrative tasks for Terumo Neuro in Alajuela, Costa Rica.

Key responsibilities

• Match invoices to purchase orders and receipts, code and enter them into the accounting system.
• Enter, post, and reconcile invoice batches and resolve AP issues with vendors.
• Reconcile sub‑ledger to the general ledger and maintain paid‑invoice files.
• Process check requests, prepare AP checks, and monitor payment status.
• Maintain vendor records, respond to inquiries, and assist with month‑end closing and year‑end audit preparation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum three years of accounting experience, including Accounts Payable and general accounting procedures.
• Strong communication, customer service, organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team with a proactive attitude.

Required skills

• Experience with large ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or JDE.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
• Basic math skills for computing rates, ratios, and percentages.
