Case Management & Data Assistant (AVR)

About the role

The International Organization for Migration is seeking a Case Management & Data Assistant to support its Voluntary Assisted Return (AVR) programme in Costa Rica. Working under the AVR Monitoring & Evaluation Officer, the assistant will ensure that integration programme data are accurately captured, maintained and analysed to inform programme decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and continuously update the Integration Programme registration system, guaranteeing data accuracy and consistency.
• Systematise and organise information required for the Integration Support Programme, making it readily available for analysis.
• Maintain tables, dashboards and databases in real‑time, applying data‑validation and quality‑control procedures.
• Review datasets periodically to identify gaps, inconsistencies and emerging trends, and recommend corrective actions.
• Prepare regular and ad‑hoc reports for internal and external stakeholders, summarising progress, challenges and key findings.
• Communicate critical analytical findings promptly to the M&E team and relevant programme staff.

Required profile

• University degree or equivalent experience in social sciences, statistics, international development or a related field.
• Experience in data management, monitoring and evaluation within humanitarian or migration programmes.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently under supervision.
• Excellent written communication skills in English.
