Bilingual Mathematics Teacher for PK–12 School

About the role

Ballena Academy is looking for an experienced bilingual Mathematics Teacher to join its middle and secondary school team. You will teach a range of math courses, foster logical reasoning, and help students develop strong problem‑solving skills in a supportive, inquiry‑based environment.

Key responsibilities

• Teach Mathematics courses at middle and secondary levels.
• Plan and deliver engaging, student‑centered lessons that promote analytical thinking.
• Design assessments and classroom activities aligned with curriculum objectives.
• Support learners with diverse academic abilities, language backgrounds, and learning styles.
• Maintain a respectful, organized, and academically focused classroom.
• Communicate effectively with students, families, and colleagues.
• Collaborate on interdisciplinary projects, school initiatives, and curriculum planning.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years teaching experience at middle or secondary level.
• Strong knowledge of secondary mathematics content.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
• Experience in bilingual or international schools.
• Familiarity with inquiry‑based or project‑based learning.

Required skills

• Knowledge of IB, MYP, Cambridge or similar educational frameworks.
• Ability to integrate technology into teaching and assessment.
