AI Software Engineer – Remote (Costa Rica)

About the role

Coforge is looking for an experienced AI Software Engineer to design, develop, and deploy AI‑driven applications that leverage large language models, natural language processing, and speech interfaces. This fully remote position supports enterprise‑scale solutions for clients worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and launch AI‑enabled applications using LLMs, NLP techniques, and voice‑based interfaces.
• Develop and optimise AI workloads in production with Claude (Anthropic), prompt‑engineering, evaluation frameworks, and model‑optimisation strategies.
• Create scalable backend services, REST APIs, and micro‑service architectures to power AI‑centric workflows.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to implement cloud‑native AI solutions, data pipelines, and best‑practice performance, reliability, and scalability measures.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, AI, Data Science or equivalent practical experience.
• 7+ years of software engineering experience, including hands‑on development of AI‑enabled systems.
• Strong expertise in LLMs, NLP, and AI application development.
• Proven experience with Claude (Anthropic) or comparable enterprise AI models.

Required skills

• Python programming (preferred).
• Large Language Models (LLMs) and Natural Language Processing (NLP).
• Claude (Anthropic) or similar AI model platforms.
• AWS services: Lambda, S3, API Gateway, Bedrock, SageMaker.
• Voice APIs and speech‑based conversational AI.
• REST APIs, micro‑services, and distributed systems.
• Prompt engineering, model evaluation, and optimisation frameworks.
• Familiarity with MLOps, AI monitoring, and production observability.
