Tutor Operations & Support Assistant (Remote)

About the role

The Tutor Operations and Support Assistant will help Learner Education manage tutor hiring, onboarding, placements and daily operational tasks across its remote tutoring programs. This part‑time, remote position is ideal for an organized early‑career professional who enjoys supporting multiple workflows in a fast‑growing education environment.

Key responsibilities

• Review student needs and match them with suitable tutors, coordinating trial sessions and tracking outcomes.
• Communicate with tutors via email and internal systems to confirm availability and next steps.
• Support Academic Advisors and Placement teams with administrative coordination.
• Handle tutor onboarding tasks such as profile setup, system access and documentation, and manage off‑boarding updates.
• Screen tutor applications, process background checks, and maintain hiring records in Workable.
• Respond to tutor and student inquiries, route issues to appropriate teams, and maintain clear communication through email, Slack and internal tools.
• Perform data entry, documentation updates and other administrative duties as processes evolve.

Required profile

• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail, organization and the ability to work independently in a remote, fast‑paced environment.
• Calm, reliable and solution‑oriented when handling time‑sensitive requests.
• Interest in education, tutoring or operational support.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Google Suite.
• Experience using Slack.
• Familiarity with Workable or similar recruiting platforms.
