Tax Compliance Manager – Colombia, Costa Rica & Mexico

About the role

The Tax Compliance Manager will oversee direct and indirect tax compliance for all legal entities operating in Colombia, Costa Rica and Mexico. Reporting to the Senior Director of International Tax Compliance, the role is part of the DS Global Tax Group within Johnson & Johnson’s orthopaedics business.

Key responsibilities

• Govern external partners that support recurring tax compliance processes.
• Negotiate contracts, scope and fees with service providers.
• Monitor KPIs and balanced‑scorecard metrics for tax activities.
• Ensure timely filing of direct and indirect tax returns and review tax computations.
• Facilitate data access and collaboration with finance teams.
• Partner with Global Services finance, Business Finance and other internal groups to streamline tax compliance.
• Collaborate with Tax Counsel and the Tax Planning Group on local tax aspects of transactions, planning structures and foreign subsidies reporting.
• Support Global Transfer Pricing and related reporting requirements.

Required profile

• Proven experience in direct and indirect tax compliance within Colombia, Costa Rica and/or Mexico.
• Ability to manage and coordinate external tax advisors.
• Strong analytical mindset with a focus on data accuracy and timely filing.
• Effective communication skills to work with finance, legal and tax planning teams.
