Systems Support Engineer

About the role

Join Akamai’s TechDocs Ops team to keep our cloud and security documentation platforms running smoothly. You will work closely with IT and technical writers to improve documentation operations, repository management, and the contributor experience.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain web‑based documentation systems that use Markdown, REST APIs, and related workflows.
• Apply Git, GitHub, and GitHub Actions expertise to support platform migrations, test workflows, and validate release processes.
• Write and maintain basic scripts in Python, JavaScript, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Implement documentation‑as‑code practices and CI/CD pipelines.
• Prioritize and track tasks using Jira.
• Troubleshoot technical issues, analyze systems, and automate or optimise workflows.

Required profile

• 2+ years of experience or a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Technical Communication, or a related field.
• Strong problem‑solving, critical‑thinking, and analytical abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with a focus on clear process documentation.
• Highly organised with meticulous attention to detail.
• Quickly adapt to new systems and technologies, emphasizing thorough documentation.
• Interest in AI‑assisted operations and workflow automation.
