Senior SAP Technical Release & DevOps Expert (S/4HANA & BTP)

About the role

We are looking for a Senior SAP Technical Release & DevOps Expert to lead release management for SAP S/4HANA and SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) across program and run phases. The role ensures adherence to change, release and GxP processes while driving automation, continuous improvement and transparent communication with stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Enable and drive technical Release Management for SAP S/4HANA and BTP, ensuring compliance with GxP requirements.
• Identify release risks, propose mitigations and communicate impacts and status to all relevant parties.
• Design, operate and continuously improve the SAP DevOps and ALM toolchain (Solution Manager, gCTS, ServiceNow, Tricentis Tosca, CloudALM, Signavio, Celonis).
• Promote automation across release, change, test and deployment processes, including CI/CD and GenAI‑enabled innovations.
• Act as a technical sparring partner for development teams, providing deep expertise in ABAP, SAP Fiori/UI5 lifecycle and deployment.
• Advise on release‑ready architectures, transport strategies and testability, reviewing solutions for operability and compliance.
• Conduct post‑release reviews, capture lessons learned and drive measurable quality and automation improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of experience in SAP Release Management, DevOps or Technical Delivery, preferably in a regulated (GxP) environment.
• Strong hands‑on ABAP development background and solid understanding of SAP Fiori/UI5 lifecycles.
• Proven expertise with SAP Solution Manager, Cloud Transport Management and SAP ALM/DevOps concepts.
• Experience with CI/CD, test automation (e.g., Tricentis Tosca) and release automation.
• Good knowledge of ITIL, Agile/SAFe and quality frameworks such as ISTQB.
• Fluent English; Portuguese is a plus.
