Senior React Native Engineer

About the role

First Factory is seeking a Senior React Native Engineer to lead the development of high‑impact mobile applications. You will work with a modern AI‑assisted workflow, leveraging Expo, Tamagui, and React Native to deliver scalable, performant solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead requirement‑gathering sessions with product managers and designers to define technical constraints.
• Act as the engineering point of contact for cross‑functional requests, collaborating closely with product and design teams.
• Break down complex features into clear, actionable tickets for the development team.
• Build and maintain high‑performance mobile features using Expo, Tamagui, React Hook Form, and Reanimated.
• Utilize AI development tools such as Cursor and Claude to accelerate coding workflows.
• Write maintainable code, participate in peer reviews, and mentor junior developers.
• Identify performance bottlenecks and proactively surface technical risks or blockers.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, story estimation, and Scrum meetings.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience designing, building, and maintaining mobile or full‑stack applications.
• Proven ability to operate in ambiguous environments and translate high‑level concepts into clear technical solutions.
• Deep expertise in React Native development and the Expo ecosystem.
• Strong experience creating pixel‑perfect, responsive interfaces with Tamagui and Reanimated.
• Experience integrating front‑end applications with RESTful APIs and managing complex state.
• Proficiency with AI‑assisted coding tools (e.g., Cursor, Claude) to boost productivity.
• Excellent communication skills and a “get‑it‑done” mindset.
