Senior Financial Analyst – Global Finance Solutions

About the role

Amazon’s Global Finance Solutions (GFS) team is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to lead Operating Expense (OpEx) and Headcount (HC) planning, forecasting, and reporting for a key business unit. As the primary finance liaison, you will provide data‑driven insights that guide strategic decisions and ensure financial discipline.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end OpEx reporting, variance analysis, and corrective action recommendations.
• Analyze workload drivers and operational metrics to determine headcount requirements, maintain forecasts, and track actuals.
• Monitor financial performance against budget, flag deviations early, and partner with leaders on mitigation plans.
• Develop models, dashboards, and executive‑level summaries that translate financial data into clear narratives.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to senior managers, communicating finance issues to non‑finance partners.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally to support investment prioritization, cost‑optimization, and strategic initiatives.

Required profile

• Proven experience in financial planning & analysis, preferably within a large, fast‑paced organization.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to assess workload drivers and staffing needs.
• Excellent communication skills to influence senior leadership and translate complex data into actionable insights.
• Detail‑oriented and capable of managing multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
