Record to Report Period End Close Analyst (NAM)

About the role

Join Roche's Services & Solutions centre in Costa Rica as a Record to Report Period End Close Analyst supporting the North America region. You will apply advanced accounting expertise to drive month‑end close activities, ensure accurate financial reporting, and provide insightful analysis for senior finance leaders.

Key responsibilities

• Lead complex accounting analysis and month‑end close for assigned NAM affiliates, acting as a Subject Matter Expert.
• Prepare, review and validate financial and cost reports, trial balances, balance sheets and P&L statements.
• Execute month‑end journal entries, ensure proper cost allocations and maintain audit‑ready ledgers.
• Deliver commentary on financial results, investigate variances and present actionable recommendations.
• Guarantee compliance with US GAAP, IFRS, internal policies and regulatory standards while supporting continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in General Ledger, operational accounting or month‑end close.
• Advanced fluency in English for daily collaboration with US/NAM stakeholders.
• Professional accounting certification (CPA, ACCA) is highly desirable.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with SAP modules (FI, CO, FA, MM).
• Proficiency with BlackLine for financial close management.
• Familiarity with AI‑enabled analytics tools such as Power BI, Alteryx, Python or macros.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP/IFRS and shared‑services accounting processes.
