Production Planning and Control Assistant

About the role

The Production Planning and Control (PPC) Assistant supports the planning, scheduling and monitoring of production orders in a manufacturing plant. Reporting to the PPC Coordinator, the role works closely with supervisors and operational teams to ensure that production targets are met on time, within cost and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, update and control daily and weekly production schedules and monitor shop‑floor execution.
• Track production order progress in SAP or other control systems and verify compliance with KPIs such as production output, scrap, efficiency and deliveries.
• Maintain accurate documentation of orders, PPC reports and inventory records.
• Coordinate with plant supervisors to adjust plans, record incidents and propose improvement actions.
• Perform periodic material cycle counts and physically validate production orders against system records.
• Support continuous‑improvement projects related to planning, 6S methodology and scrap reduction.
• Generate and consolidate reports on production tracking, deliveries and efficiency.
• Ensure adherence to safety standards and internal plant procedures.

Required profile

• Technical degree in Industrial Engineering, Production, Logistics or a related field (or advanced engineering student).
• At least 1 year of experience in production, planning or process control (preferred but not mandatory).
• Familiarity with ERP systems, preferably SAP.
• Intermediate proficiency in Excel and MS Office tools.
• Strong organizational, data‑analysis and attention‑to‑detail abilities.
• Assertive communication, teamwork orientation and ability to work under pressure.
• Basic to intermediate English proficiency (desired).
