Production Planner – Scheduler

About the role

CooperSurgical is seeking a Production Planner (Scheduler) to develop and maintain production schedules across multiple manufacturing processes, ensuring timely delivery of medical devices and related products. The role involves coordinating with manufacturing, quality, engineering, and supply chain teams to align planning priorities with operational execution.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain schedules for formulation, filtration, aseptic filling, packaging, labeling, and BioCoat operations.
• Lead weekly allocation, identify deviations from the Revision Zero plan, and adjust priorities based on capacity and customer requirements.
• Review and resolve production order closure issues, including material consumption adjustments and quality event initiation.
• Collaborate with Finance to reconcile inventory and financial variances.
• Identify and escalate scheduling constraints, capacity limitations, or operational roadblocks.
• Maintain the Batch Tracker system with up‑to‑date release dates, work order status, QC status, and shipping information.
• Drive continuous‑improvement initiatives using Lean principles such as Value Stream Mapping, Pull Systems, and Operational Excellence.
• Ensure compliance with safety, SOPs, cGMP, GDP, and documentation standards.
• Support cross‑functional projects and resolve complex operational challenges.

Required profile

• Experience in production planning and scheduling within a regulated manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of cGMP, GDP, and related quality standards.
• Ability to work collaboratively with Finance, Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams.
• Strong analytical skills to evaluate schedule adherence and implement plan adjustments.
• Familiarity with Lean methodologies and continuous‑improvement practices.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the Batch Tracker system.
• Application of Lean methodology (Value Stream Mapping, Pull Systems, Operational Excellence).
