Planner I – Production Planning

About the role

The Planner I supports production planning to ensure that finished goods and components are available on time, aligning supply with customer demand. Working on‑site in Alajuela, the role collaborates with buyers, production, sales and other cross‑functional teams to keep inventory accurate and ERP data up‑to‑date.

Key responsibilities

• Plan production volumes across multiple product lines based on forecasted demand.
• Coordinate with the Buyer to secure timely delivery of finished goods and components.
• Monitor stock levels, manage purchasing plans and stay within budget.
• Use MRP and Excel Query to acquire materials and maintain production inventory.
• Maintain ERP data, including new suppliers, products, revisions and cost information.
• Align inventory targets with sales requirements and production needs.
• Set up new bills of materials, part numbers and purchase orders for new product introductions.
• Analyse customer demand to define monthly production targets and process RMAs.
• Support supplier evaluation and review performance indicators regularly.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• 1–2 years of experience in purchasing, procurement or a comparable combination of education and experience.
• Preferred experience in production, planning, logistics, inventory control, budgeting or distribution.

Required skills

• Excel (including Query functions).
• ERP systems.
• Material Requirements Planning (MRP) tools.
