Issue Management Lead Analyst

About the role

The Issue Management Lead Analyst will act as the primary liaison for Internal Audit reviews, ensuring thorough fieldwork, testing, and issue tracking throughout the Issue Governance and Management process. This role collaborates with In‑Business Issue Managers, IA auditors, and business partners across multiple functions to maintain audit standards.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the main control liaison before and during Internal Audit reviews, coordinating communications, readiness materials, and management meetings.
• Manage IA interactions and deliverables, ensuring timely exchange of information between auditors and business partners.
• Enter audit issues, action plans, and delivery dates into the designated tracking system and maintain comprehensive dashboard reporting.
• Provide root‑cause, trend, and thematic analysis of audit results and identified issues.
• Capture key audit data, support the design of Citi’s controls program, and assess the effectiveness of existing controls.
• Drive controls enhancements, coordinate with stakeholders, and support risk appetite assessments.
• Stay updated on regulatory changes and industry best practices, ensuring alignment of the controls program.
• Deliver regular updates to senior management on controls performance and risk mitigation activities.
