Information Technology Assistant (G4)

About the role

The International Organization for Migration is seeking an Information Technology Assistant (G4) to provide first‑level technical support for its corporate applications and infrastructure. Working under the Resource Management Officer and in close coordination with the ICT Central Team, the incumbent will ensure a client‑focused, service‑oriented approach to IT support.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the first‑level helpdesk for technical support requests, assisting users with computers, applications, telephones, printers, scanners, PBX systems and mobile devices.
• Provide technical support for corporate applications and standard software such as Office365, SAP, Oracle, migrant‑specific applications, internet‑browsing security tools, mobile apps and Bitlocker encryption.
• Install, maintain and troubleshoot computers, peripherals and backup systems.
• Administer and monitor workstations, handling patch management, antimalware protection and backup operations.
• Secure all IT components, ensuring timely updates for applications, network devices, CCTV, access controls and communication systems.
• Assist in monitoring LAN/WAN equipment, including Cisco Meraki, Cisco ASA firewalls, switches, Wi‑Fi access points, Microsoft Intune and PBX telephone systems.
• Support administration of cloud services and network devices such as AWS and Azure.

• Collaborates closely with the ICT Central Team.
• Provides frontline, client‑oriented technical assistance to both local and remote users.
