Industrial Designer – Hands‑On Role in Acoustic Architecture

About the role

Ezobord is seeking a hands‑on, detail‑oriented Industrial Designer to join its full‑time team at the Ochomogo facility in Cartago, Costa Rica. You will work at the intersection of design, engineering and manufacturing, acting as a technical bridge between our international teams in Canada and Latin America and the shop‑floor production environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop production documentation including detailed blueprints, assembly drawings and CNC‑ready cut files.
• Generate original concepts for architectural ceilings, wall systems, acoustic baffles and custom furniture.
• Create design‑for‑manufacturability solutions focused on material efficiency, yield optimization and feasibility.
• Participate in global team meetings with colleagues in Canada and LATAM to align on renderings, prototypes and installation details.
• Troubleshoot design challenges on‑site, collaborating with plant management, quality control and production teams to keep projects on schedule.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in industrial, product or manufacturing design.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD from day one.
• Excellent written and spoken English for frequent international communication.
• Full‑time, on‑site availability at the Ochomogo facility.
• Degree in Industrial Design, Product Design or a closely related field.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating physical product development, technical drawings, manufacturing logic and assembly details.
