IB Educator – English & Spanish (Full‑time, Tamarindo)

About the role

Journey School of Costa Rica is seeking a full‑time IB Educator to teach English and Spanish on its Tamarindo campus. The role involves delivering engaging, IB‑aligned lessons to a diverse student body while fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver lessons that meet International Baccalaureate standards in both English and Spanish.
• Mentor and support students in their academic and personal development.
• Collaborate with fellow educators to design interdisciplinary projects and share best practices.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and school community activities.
• Maintain clear communication with parents, colleagues, and school leadership.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, English, Spanish, or a related field.
• Proven experience in teaching, lesson planning and classroom management.
• Familiarity with bilingual or multilingual education is a plus.
• Strong cultural competency and ability to thrive in an international school setting.
• IB certification or prior experience teaching the IB curriculum is highly desirable.
