Financial Analyst (Collections)

About the role

The Financial Analyst will support Intel's collections operations in Costa Rica, monitoring customer accounts, payment activity and disputes to help drive timely collections and reduce overdue exposure. This role contributes to cash flow visibility and operational reporting while collaborating with internal stakeholders and customers.

Key responsibilities

• Support collections operations by monitoring accounts, aging balances, payment activity, disputes and unapplied cash.
• Perform account reconciliations, analyze payment trends, research deductions and disputes, and provide variance explanations.
• Maintain accurate collections records, customer communications and account status updates.
• Assist with forecast inputs by tracking expected payments, open disputes and collection risks.
• Prepare and maintain operational reports, trackers and portfolio summaries related to collections performance.
• Support month‑end and quarter‑end activities ensuring balances and payment applications are reflected in reporting tools.
• Identify process gaps and improvement opportunities, supporting automation and standardisation initiatives.
• Escalate critical issues, aging risks and customer concerns to leadership and provide ad‑hoc analysis.

Required profile

• Pursuing or holding a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a related field (master’s degree acceptable).
• 0–1+ years of relevant finance or accounting experience (or 0 years with a master’s degree).
• Proficiency in SAP and intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
• Intermediate to advanced English proficiency, both written and verbal.
• Unrestricted permanent right to work in Costa Rica.
• Preferred: knowledge of Power BI or UiPath, experience in legal, auditing or contract management.
