Corporate Information Systems Engineer – Global IT

About the role

Join Gualapack's Corporate IT team as a Systems Engineer, supporting global network infrastructure, on‑premises datacenter, and telecom systems. You will work remotely or on‑site in Costa Rica, collaborating with teams across the Americas to ensure reliable, secure, and cost‑effective IT services.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee assigned projects, coordinate internal resources and external consultants, and ensure delivery on time and within budget.
• Define technical requirements for new hardware and software solutions.
• Coordinate and support Helpdesk teams in the Americas, troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
• Monitor and maintain the global network, implement best‑practice security measures, and anticipate potential bottlenecks.
• Install and configure operating systems, application software, and virtualization platforms.
• Contribute to the design of global network architectures, system improvements, and IT standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum five years of experience administering complex WAN networks, routing protocols, and server/infrastructure equipment.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills in English.
• Ability to work under pressure, independently and as part of an international team.
• Willingness to travel occasionally.
