Contract Expert

About the role

The Contract Expert will own the end‑to‑end contractual process for Bayer’s internal stakeholders in Costa Rica. You will ensure that contracts are processed accurately, training is delivered, and knowledge is continuously updated.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain comprehensive knowledge of the contractual process.
• Coordinate, prepare and deliver training sessions for all process participants.
• Serve as the primary escalation point for contract‑related questions.
• Process and review contracts using the Contract Lifecycle Management System (CLMS) based on requests from Procurement, Commercial, R&D and other business units.
• Guide requestors through each step of the workflow and create supporting training materials.
• Identify complex or irregular contracts and escalate to the Senior Expert.
• Maintain internal repositories, organize documentation and suggest improvements for quality and speed.
• Interact with regional heads, business partners and functional leaders such as Insurance, Pharmacovigilance, Data Privacy and Compliance.

Required profile

• University degree or advanced studies in Law.
• Proven experience handling contracts and client‑facing coordination.
• Strong organizational, time‑management and communication skills.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
