Buyer II – Direct Materials Procurement

About the role

We are looking for a Buyer II to join our global procurement team, focusing on direct material sourcing for a manufacturing environment. The role will drive sourcing projects, manage supplier relationships, and support cost‑optimization strategies.

Key responsibilities

• Execute sourcing projects and spot‑buy requests for direct material categories.
• Identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers.
• Lead RFQ and RFP processes, assess proposals, and negotiate pricing and commercial terms.
• Perform spend, cost, and benchmark analyses to identify savings opportunities.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to define sourcing requirements and procurement strategies.
• Support supplier performance management and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Track and document procurement results and savings.
• Mentor junior procurement professionals as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations, Business Administration or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or sourcing, preferably with direct materials such as raw materials, chemicals, packaging, or electromechanical components.
• Proven experience negotiating supplier contracts and commercial agreements.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Advanced English communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Use of spend analytics and supplier management tools.
