3D Artist & Animator – Sports Medicine

About the role

Join Smith+Nephew as a 3D Artist & Animator focused on sports‑medicine products. You will transform complex medical concepts into photorealistic 3D models and animations that educate surgeons, patients and marketing audiences worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the full 3D production pipeline from concept sketches to final rendered assets.
• Create detailed anatomical models, surgical technique animations, and dynamic marketing visuals.
• Collaborate with engineering, product design and marketing teams to translate CAD data into compelling visual stories.
• Observe surgical procedures when needed to ensure anatomical accuracy.
• Develop storyboards, manage multiple projects and maintain consistent branding across all deliverables.

Required profile

• Strong portfolio and showreel demonstrating the ability to turn complex concepts into visual narratives.
• Solid understanding of human anatomy and experience producing high‑quality medical visual content.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to work independently in a regulated, fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with industry‑leading 3D software such as Maya, Blender, Cinema4D, Modo or Houdini.
• Advanced animation and rendering techniques.
