Wireless Network Support Engineer II

About the role

The Wireless Network Support Engineer II provides advanced technical support for enterprise wireless networking environments, troubleshooting complex WLAN and connectivity issues while collaborating with engineering teams.

Key responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex wireless connectivity, performance, authentication, and network‑related issues.
• Configure and troubleshoot enterprise wireless access points, WLAN environments and Wi‑Fi standards (802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax, WPA2/WPA3, 802.1X).
• Diagnose Layer 2/Layer 3 network problems involving TCP/IP, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, ARP and related protocols.
• Analyze logs, packet captures (Wireshark) and other diagnostics to identify root causes.
• Manage technical customer escalations and communicate resolutions effectively.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Telecommunications, IT or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years in technical support, network engineering, TAC/NOC or wireless networking.
• Hands‑on experience with enterprise wireless networks, access points and WLAN solutions.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with a customer‑facing orientation.
• Advanced English proficiency, both written and verbal.

Required skills

• Wi‑Fi/IEEE 802.11 concepts and standards (a/b/g/n/ac/ax).
• Authentication technologies: 802.1X, WPA2/WPA3, RADIUS/AAA.
• Layer 2/Layer 3 networking: TCP/IP, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, ARP.
• Network analysis tools such as Wireshark and packet capture.
• Linux troubleshooting, SNMP, VoIP (SIP) in wireless environments.
