Vendor Management Inventory Planner

About the role

The Vendor Management Inventory Planner (VMIP) supports Huntsman's Polyurethanes Division by managing the Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) process for key customers and coordinating co‑manufacturing activities with partner competitors. Based in Heredia, Costa Rica, the role works closely with logistics, production, finance and commercial teams to ensure accurate order processing and inventory forecasting.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, plan and enter customer orders into the SAP system or web portal.
• Coordinate bulk and packaged shipments with logistics coordinators, production facilities, warehouses and carriers.
• Maintain accurate customer master data in SAP.
• Troubleshoot and resolve customer issues, involving appropriate departments.
• Ensure timely invoicing of consumptions and manage return‑goods authorizations.
• Track daily rail‑car movements to guarantee timely release.
• Act as liaison between customers, commercial, S&OP, logistics, finance and quality teams.
• Manage purchase, sale and swap processes with co‑manufacturing partners, updating pricing in SAP.
• Collaborate with supply chain and purchasing on formula‑based pricing negotiations.
• Coordinate sales forecasts with customers and handle credit reconciliations.
• Provide backup for S&OP functions and contribute to HSE, logistics, quality or commercial projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Statistics, Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of supply‑chain or planning experience.
• Proficiency with SAP, Power BI and the Microsoft Office suite.
• Unrestricted right to work for Huntsman in Costa Rica.
• Availability to work on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays at the AFZ office in Heredia (additional days as needed).
