Training Projects Specialist

About the role

Thermo Fisher Scientific is seeking a Training Projects Specialist to support its Global Business Services (GBS) and retained organization in Heredia, Lagunilla. The role focuses on analysing learning needs, designing curricula, scheduling training, and ensuring successful delivery across multiple divisions and sites.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with subject‑matter experts to identify and document training needs for roles transitioning to GBS centers.
• Develop and maintain training schedules, ensuring content delivery aligns with plans set by owners and trainers.
• Produce detailed documentation of learning needs, curricula, schedules, and training status at individual, team, and overall levels.
• Monitor trainee progress, keep training plans on track, and update curricula as needed.
• Identify and coordinate existing training resources for analysis and delivery.
• Assess existing material and create new content when required to meet project objectives.
• Lead training satisfaction and post‑training assessment surveys, handling execution, reporting, and follow‑up.
• Support delivery of training sessions, primarily for GBS shared‑service transitions and improvement projects.

Required profile

• Minimum 5–6 years of experience in training design and delivery.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven ability to conduct learning needs analysis and develop training programs.
• Strong attention to detail and accurate documentation.
• Ability to work within project timelines and take ownership of deliverables.
• Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
• Experience with GBS or shared‑services environments is advantageous.
