Test Technician – Electronics Testing & Repair

About the role

As a Test Technician 1 you will ensure electronic products meet quality and performance standards by performing accurate testing, troubleshooting, and verification. You will work on the production floor in an ESD‑safe environment, supporting efficient flow and timely delivery to customers.

Key responsibilities

• Support production flow by following product prioritization strategies.
• Develop and execute visual inspection protocols to detect physical damage or missing components.
• Document product data accurately in multiple databases to aid repair processes.
• Test and troubleshoot electronic boards at the component level, reading wiring diagrams and schematics.
• Identify failure locations and perform component‑level repairs using soldering tools and precision instruments.
• Prepare products for Final Visual Inspection (FVI) and execute functional performance tests.
• Maintain proficiency in ESD protocols and familiarity with SMD, through‑hole, DIP, and PLCC components.
• Participate in preventative maintenance and verification activities to keep test systems optimal.
